Our Team

Ms. Yap Chi Wee graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Malaya and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2003. A recipient of the JPA scholarship, she began her career in litigation before moving into conveyancing and banking practice.

In 2006, she joined Messrs Abraham Ooi & Partners as a conveyancing legal assistant, where she managed conventional and Islamic loan documentation for both local and foreign banks, including AmBank, CIMB, RHB, Affin, Alliance, Public Bank, EON Bank, OCBC, HSBC, and UOB. On 1 June 2009, she established her own practice, Messrs Yap Chi Wee & Partners, which later evolved into Messrs Chew & Yap. Today, her practice focuses on banking and conveyancing work for both consumer and commercial loans, as well as acting as a consultant for developers’ projects in township development and related corporate matters. Ms. Yap is also a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths, extending her services to the authentication and attestation of documents for both domestic and cross-border use.
